Your favorite activities in Quebec? Exploring Montreal and the Eastern Townships, partying on St Jean Baptiste, and Carnaval in Quebec City (Chateau Frontenac is my favourite landmark).
A music band that you like in Québec and in your country? From Quebec I like Les Cowboys Fringants, and my favourite Canadian artist is Bryan Adams.
Why did you choose Québec? Because I learned about the differences in culture in elementary school (being from Ontario) and wanted to experience it for myself firsthand, also to hoping to improve my French.
A city to be discovered, here or elsewhere in the world? North Hatley, it boasts one of the few 5 star inns (Hovey Manor) in Canada, and sits on Lake Massawippi. The mainly English speaking town has gorgeous historic architecture throughout the streets and is located in the peaceful Eastern Townships.
Your plans after university? Graduate school (hopefully) and finding a job.
Your first impression of Quebec: positive and negative? Positive – Montreal was such an exciting city, and being the girl that I am, I loved the shopping on St. Catherine’s. Also, it is so multicultural and I enjoy the mix as it adds to the diversity.
Short biography :I was born in Harbin, China, and my family moved to the United States when I was two years old. I’ve lived in Canada since I was 10 years old, in Kingston Ontario. In my spare time I really enjoy cooking, wine, and meeting new people. I go to Bishop’s University, in Lennoxville, Quebec (right outside of Sherbrooke, about 2 hours from Montreal), and I love it. It is a small university where you can really get to know your classmates and professors, and still have many opportunities to get involved throughout the campus.
